.Sh DESCRIPTION
.Fn count_fopen
creates a new read-only stream that reads up to, but no more than,
.Fa count
bytes from the underlying stream
.Fa fp .
After
.Fa count
bytes have been read, further attempts to read from the returned stream
will return
.Dv EOF.
.Pp
.Xr fclose 3
should be used to close the returned stream.
The
.Fa closeit
parameter determines whether the underlying stream
.Fa fp
is closed when the returned stream is closed.
.Sh RETURN VALUES
.Fn boundary_fopen
returns
.Dv NULL
to indicate an error, with
.Va errno
set appropriately.
